An important personality of Jharkhand, former IPS officer cum former JPSC President Amitabh Chaudhary has passed away. Amitabh Choudhary passed away at 3 am on Tuesday at Centavita Hospital

Amitabh Chaudhary had made a separate identity in cricket and politics. After doing engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1985, he became IPS of Bihar cadre after clearing UPSC examination. He got Jharkhand cadre after Jharkhand became a separate state.

In 2002, he became a member of BCCI. He became the President of Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) in 2005 by defeating the then Deputy Chief Minister of the state Sudesh Kumar Mahto. He was also the manager of Cricket Team India from 2005 to 2009. In 2013, he took VRS from the job of IPS. In 2014, he entered politics. He also contested the Ranchi Lok Sabha elections from Babulal Marandi's party JVM after not getting a ticket from the BJP. But could not win the election.

Ranchi's SSP was made in 1997.


Let us tell you that Amitabh Chaudhary was born on July 6, 1960. After obtaining B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur in 1984, he became IPS in 1985. After which he got Bihar cadre. Amitabh Chaudhary was made the SSP of Ranchi in 1997. Due to his ability, understanding and better team, he ended the fear of criminals from among the people of Ranchi, which people still remember. After which he was made the chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) on 29 October 2020. Where he will remain as chairman till July 5, 2022.

Former IPS officer Amitabh Chaudhary was made the chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) on 29 October 2020. Abhitabh Chaudhary was born on 6 July 1960. Amitabh Chaudhary became IPS in 1985 after obtaining B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur in 1984. He put History and Geography in the optional paper in the UPSC exam. He passed the exam in the very first attempt and got the second position in All India in IPS category.

Amitabh Chaudhary played an important role in Dhoni reaching Team India.Shri Chaudhary became a member of BCCI in 2002. In 2005 he became the President of Jharkhand State Cricket Associatoin. Became the manager of Team India during 2003-2009. To contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Mr. Choudhary took VRS from the post of Special Secretary (ADG rank) in the Home Department. Contested on getting ticket from JVM, but came fourth with 67 thousand votes.
